2. Construction – 2-piece full bore ball valve

The 2-piece full bore body is a standard industrial construction that allows maintenance without removing the pipeline, while ensuring minimal pressure drop due to full bore passage.

The 316 alloy contains 2–3% Mo (molybdenum) – significantly higher resistance to pitting corrosion in chloride environments. Always specify AISI 316 where the media contains chlorides, saline solutions or marine conditions apply.

5. Installation and Operating Notes

On/off service only – this valve is not designed for throttling or flow regulation. Use dedicated control valves for flow regulation.

PTFE seat limits – resistant to most industrial media, but not suitable for concentrated acids or alkalis. Alternative: RPTFE or metal seat.

Actuator mounting – before assembly, verify the ISO 5211 flange size matches the actuator manufacturer's specification.

Threaded connections – use PTFE tape or anaerobic sealants appropriate to the system media and operating pressure.

High temperature – above +130 °C, verify the maximum PTFE seat temperature rating in the specific series datasheet.
